EDUCATION AND CURRICULUM

The Army Institute of Fashion & Design is a unique higher education institution that focuses on design, a field that enhances soft skills and fosters innovation. Designers at AIFD work closely with technologists and inventors to create user-friendly and innovative products. Every year, new fashion professionals and interior and space designers are emerging. Indian designers, who have a rich heritage in textiles, architecture, and craftsmanship, are gaining international recognition. They are setting new goals and effectively using social media.

The apparel industry, being the second-largest industry in India, employs millions of people. With its impressive growth, the industry has started implementing sustainable practices. Designers are slowing down production, rethinking their design practices, and incorporating sustainable practices into their design models. They are not just creative but also technically skilled. The modern designer needs to be research-oriented and socially conscious. AIFD collaborates with the best in the industry. It provides students with additional information through specialized lectures, workshops, and industry interactions. The institute has excellent infrastructure, including state-of-the-art labs with the latest equipment, which allows students to innovate and excel in all aspects.
