ACADEMICS
AIT is an engineering institute that offers both undergraduate and post-graduate courses. The undergraduate courses are four years long and have four branches: Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. Each branch has a limited number of seats available for admission. The post-graduate course is two years long and has one branch: Data Science. The institute has 24 seats for this course. All the courses are approved by AICTE and affiliated by Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly Pune University).
The institute also has accreditation from NAAC and NBA for its undergraduate courses. The students who complete the undergraduate courses get a BE degree, and the students who complete the post-graduate course get a ME degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
CAMPUS AND FACILITIES
AIT is an engineering college located in a quiet and spacious area outside Pune. The main building of the college has classrooms, labs, offices and a hall for events. The college also has a green lawn where visitors and students can relax. The college has hostels for students and houses for staff on both sides of the main building. ENTRANCE EXAM
The entrance exam for AIT Pune admission is JEE Main for B.E. courses and GATE for M.E. courses. JEE Main is an exam that NTA organizes at the national level for students who want to join undergraduate engineering courses in different institutes. It consists of two papers: Paper 1 for B.E./B. Tech and Paper 2 for B.Arch/ B.Plan. The exam is conducted in online mode (except for the drawing section of Paper 2) and has multiple-choice questions and numerical value questions.
